Skilled Worker

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform skilled construction work based on assigned trade or specialization, such as carpentry, masonry, steel works, plumbing, electrical works, painting, welding, or other related activities.
• Read and understand construction drawings, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and properly.
• Measure, cut, install, assemble, and finish materials according to project specifications.
• Ensure that completed work meets required quality standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with the Foreman, Site Supervisor, engineers, and other workers regarding daily work activities.
• Identify and report defective materials, unsafe conditions, or construction problems to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the work area.
• Follow company policies, project procedures, and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Assist other workers when necessary and perform other construction-related tasks as assigned.
• Properly care for tools, equipment, and company property.
• Perform work efficiently and within the required project schedule.

Qualifications

• At least High School graduate or equivalent.
• With relevant experience in construction or in the applicant's specific trade.
• Must possess the necessary skills and knowledge for the assigned trade.
• Able to read basic measurements and construction plans/instructions.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor and working at construction sites.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or extended hours when required by the project.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Must demonstrate good work attitude, reliability, discipline, and willingness to learn.
