SKILLS TRAINER

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Skills Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality, competency-based instruction by

augmenting and enhancing existing LMS materials. The role focuses on improving the quality of instruction

through the creation of supplementary content, facilitating synchronous and asynchronous learning, and

conducting rigorous competency assessments to ensure learners achieve industry-standard proficiency in their

specific field

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Augment existing digital learning paths by integrating supplementary interactive lessons and clear

navigation aids to improve the quality of the current LMS curriculum.

2. Create supplementary instructional content, such as specialized video demonstrations, deep-dive guides,

and simulation materials that fill gaps in existing modules.

3. Facilitate asynchronous learning by moderating online discussion boards and responding to learner

queries regarding both core and augmented materials.

4. Conduct live webinars and virtual sessions to provide real-time demonstrations and clarify complex

technical concepts found in the LMS materials.

5. Manage individual learner timelines for up to 25 unique learning speeds, providing personalized

academic interventions where existing materials require further explanation.

6. Conduct virtual competency assessments, including the review of recorded student video

demonstrations (if any) and digital portfolios against established standards.

7. Provide detailed digital feedback (audio, video, or written) on submitted practical tasks within the LMS to

ensure learner improvement.

8. Perform other job-related responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

1. Subject Matter Expertise: Profound knowledge in the designated field to effectively identify where

existing materials need augmentation.

2. Instructional Enhancement: Ability to create high-quality supplementary digital content (video,

infographics, guides).

3. Digital Facilitation: Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track progress and

manage augmented paths.

4. Competency-Based Assessment: Skill in evaluating practical evidence against specific industry standards.

5. Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for explaining technical concepts clearly to a remote

audience.

6. Time Management: Strong organization skills to manage multiple learner progress paths simultaneously

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Educational Attainment: Bachelor’s degree in the specific field of expertise or a related professional area.

2. Technical Skills Evidence: Must provide one of the following relating to the micro-credential course

handled:

o TESDA National Certificate (NC); or

o TESDA Certificate of Competency (COC); or

o Certificate of Training or Achievement; or

o Certificate of Employment indicating duties/tasks as a practitioner of the relevant technical skills.

3. Industry Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of industry experience as a practitioner in the relevant

technical field.

4. Trainers Methodology Evidence: Must provide one of the following relating to teaching competencies:

o National TVET Trainers Certificate; or

o Trainers Methodology Certificate (TMC) or Certificate of Training on TM Level I - COC 1; or

o TM Certificate I (In-Company Trainers) or relevant In-Company Training Certificate; or

o Certificate of Recognition for Provisional In-Company Trainer; or

o Certificate on any training methodology program attended; or

o Certification from a relevant organization/employer that the individual has been conducting

training for at least two (2) years.

5. Documentation: Submission of a Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing educational background,

relevant work experience, and skills related to training and facilitation.

6. Field Expertise Showcase: Portfolio or professional certifications that showcase particular field expertise.

7. Technical Aptitude: Experience with online teaching platforms and digital content creation tools.

8. Experience and passion for the education sector is an advantage

Pay: Php18,380.81 - Php34,829.82 per month
