We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced Class 2 Skip Driver to join our team, operating from our depot in the BL4 9AP area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting skips from residential, commercial and industrial customers across the local area. You will be expected to provide a professional service, operate the vehicle safely and ensure all collections and deliveries are completed efficiently.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, good customer service skills and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting skips from customer sites.
• Operating a Class 2 skip lorry safely and responsibly.
• Securing loads and ensuring compliance with road safety regulations.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Ensuring all relevant paperwork and job records are completed accurately.
• Following drivers’ hours, tachograph and working time regulations.
• Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers.
• Working efficiently to meet daily collection and delivery schedules.
• Following company procedures and all relevant health and safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of road safety and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily routes.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Desirable:

• Previous skip lorry driving experience.
• Experience in the waste, recycling or construction industry.
• Knowledge of local roads and the surrounding areas.
