Skip yard operative

Overview

Working in a skip yard you will be responsible for sorting waste materials to ensure they are properly processed and diverted from landfills. Physical stamina, and a keen eye for detail will help keep our recycling operations running smoothly. Responsibilities

• Carefully sort materials such as plastics, metals, cardboard, and wood according to established guidelines
• Perform heavy lifting of materials safely and efficiently throughout the day
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure safety and operational efficiency
• Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Qualifications
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with machinery used in recycling facilities is preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and with proper technique
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in sorting tasks
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented attitude

This is a Monday to Friday position from 8am till 4pm with a 30 min unpaid lunch break, you will be paid weekly and it is a Self employed Temp to perm position

Pay: £105.00 per day
