Sleep Technician

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of polysomnography experience with staging ability
• Certified by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists (CPSGT) OR Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) preferred
• Bilingual a plus
• Knowledge of Somnostar Software Program
• Job Description:
• Prepares for and conducts overnight sleep studies, reviews patient records, examines orders and protocols for study and recognizes chief complaints.
• Interviews patient to assess current medications, recent alcohol or caffeine ingestion, current sleep pattern and need for treatment intervention during study.
• Monitors polysomnogram during patient study.
• Adheres to safety, sanitation and equipment maintenance procedures.
• Promotes individual growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
• Ensures the safety and welfare of patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards of the lab.
• Other duties as assigned

• 7:30PM - 5:30AM (10 hour shift)
