Sleep Technician

Role Description The Sleep Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvallur. This role involves preparing patients for sleep studies, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort and safety throughout testing. The Sleep Technician will set up and calibrate polysomnography equipment, monitor EEG and other physiological parameters during sleep, and document observations in accordance with established protocols. Daily responsibilities include recognizing and responding to sleep disorders and events in real time, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining accurate, confidential patient records. The role also requires collaboration with sleep medicine professionals and other clinical staff to support diagnostic accuracy and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in polysomnography and sleep disorders to perform and monitor diagnostic sleep studies effectively.

• Candidates should possess skills in EEG and sleep medicine to accurately record, interpret, and report sleep-related neurological and clinical data.

• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in medicine to understand patient conditions, clinical protocols, and safety standards in a healthcare setting.

• Relevant degree or certification or diploma in sleep technology, neurophysiology, or a related allied health field is preferred.

• Prior experience in a sleep lab or clinical environment, with familiarity in patient care and infection control practices, is beneficial.

• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow standardized protocols, and competence in using medical equipment and electronic health records are important.

• Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care are essential.

• Eligibillity:

• Experience : 0 to 3years

• Salary: 1.5lakhs to 3lakhs/annum

• Should be staying in and around Tiruvallur, Tamilnadu, India
