Sleep Technologist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Sleep Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies and assisting in the diagnosis of sleep disorders. You will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety during testing, while also collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. A strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in sleep medicine, is essential for success in this position.

Duties

• Conduct sleep studies and monitor patients throughout the testing process.
• Perform physical examinations and assess vital signs to ensure patient safety.
• Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to interpret diagnostic evaluations accurately.
• Apply medical terminology effectively when documenting patient information and communicating with healthcare providers.
• Assist in the setup and calibration of sleep study equipment.
• Provide education to patients regarding sleep disorders and the importance of proper sleep hygiene.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the sleep center.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy teams when necessary to address patient needs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to sleep medicine is preferred.
• Experience in performing physical examinations and assessing vital signs.
• Previous experience in a sleep center or related healthcare setting is a plus.
• Understanding of diagnostic evaluation techniques used in sleep studies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Experience:

• CPAP titration: 1 year (Required)
• Sleep Technician/Technologist: 1 year (Required)

Language:

• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• RPSGT (Preferred)
• CPSGT (Preferred)
