Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to children across various settings, including pediatric clinics and hospitals. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster communication skills and improve quality of life for our young clients.

Duties

• Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans for children with speech, language, and communication challenges
• Conduct therapy sessions under supervision, utilizing activities that promote speech development and social interaction
• Support children during assessments and therapy activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment
• Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and share relevant observations about each child's progress
• Prepare therapy materials and assist in setting up equipment needed for sessions
• Monitor and report any behavioral or health concerns observed during therapy sessions

Requirements

• Proven experience working with pediatric populations, especially in acute care or clinical settings
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology
• Prior experience in pediatrics is highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to established therapy protocols
• Certification or licensure as an SLPA or equivalent in your region is required or pending certification
• A proactive attitude with the energy to motivate young clients during therapy sessions

Availability Requirements

• Must be available at least two mornings per week, starting at 8:30 am
• Availability in afternoons (3-5:30pm) is preferred in addition to above

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 16.0 per week

Work Location: In person
