Small Engine Mechanic

About the role

Service Centre Mechanics will have responsibility for assessing, quoting, and completing service and repair jobs to a high standard for Hibiscus Outdoors Limited. This will ensure that the high level of service that we will be offering our clients will continue through the customer lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Being a qualified small engine or ride on lawn mower mechanic
• Assessing and quoting service and repair jobs, including advising the Service Centre Co-ordinator what parts and the expected time required to complete the job
• Assessing trade-in ride-on lawn mowers and providing guidance on their condition and what work will be required to return them to a saleable condition
• Completing service and repair jobs to a high standard and in a timely manner that aligns to the timeline communicated to customers
• Completing the build and quality control of new machines prior to their delivery to customers
• Accurately recording time, parts, and consumables used on jobs in the service management system
• Being able to complete service job invoicing in an accurate and timely manner including recording parts and consumables used, along with time incurred, if required
• Completing sales transactions to customers on account or taking payment electronically or in cash
• Booking service and repair jobs into the service management system, if required
• Supporting the Service Centre Co-ordinator with all reasonable requests

Our retail offering is supported by maintenance and repair services for lawn mowers and small engine equipment.
