Small Engine / Powersports Technician

Family Funsports is seeking an experienced Small Engine / Powersports Technician to perform assembly, inspection, maintenance, diagnostics, warranty repairs, and service on a variety of recreational vehicles.

The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced powersports dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, dirt bikes, scooters, golf carts, and go-karts for customer delivery.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fluid checks, battery installation, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform warranty inspections, repairs, and component replacement in accordance with applicable manufacturer requirements.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections and verify vehicles are properly assembled, operational, and ready for customer delivery.
• Identify needed repairs and replacement parts and communicate findings to management.
• Maintain accurate service and warranty documentation.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, service procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Properly maintain and use personal tools and company equipment.
• Assist with general service-department operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous professional powersports, small-engine, motorcycle, ATV/UTV, golf-cart, or related mechanical experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer service procedures and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments.
• Technician must provide and maintain their own professional hand tools appropriate for the position.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and work around powersports vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Manufacturer-specific training or certifications are a plus.

Employment Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment screening, including background and drug screening, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local law and company policy.

Schedule & Environment

This is a hands-on dealership service position. The technician will work in a shop environment and may be exposed to noise, fumes, lubricants, fuel, and varying temperatures. Proper personal protective equipment and safe work practices are required.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
