Norfolk Power Equipment is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Small Engine / 2-Stroke Technician to join our Service Team at our Wrentham, MA location.

If you know your way around a 2-stroke engine, enjoy diagnosing problems, and take pride in fixing equipment right the first time, we want to talk to you.

This position will focus heavily on STIHL and Husqvarna products, including chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, cut-off saws and other handheld and small-engine power equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Diagnose, service and repair STIHL and Husqvarna equipment
• Diagnose and repair 2-stroke and small-engine equipment
• Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, compression and electrical issues
• Repair and service chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, cut-off saws and other handheld power equipment
• Perform carburetor, fuel system and engine repairs
• Complete routine maintenance and preventative service
• Inspect equipment and accurately identify needed repairs
• Clearly document repairs, parts needed and work performed
• Perform quality checks to make sure equipment is operating properly before returning it to the customer
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Keep your work area clean, organized and safe

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

• Has strong 2-stroke engine knowledge and hands-on repair experience
• Is confident diagnosing problems—not just replacing parts
• Understands carburetion, fuel delivery, ignition and compression systems
• Has good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Can work independently and manage multiple repair jobs
• Takes pride in doing the job correctly
• Is dependable and works well as part of a team
• Has their own basic technician hand tools

STIHL or Husqvarna experience, certifications and factory training are a major plus.

Experience from a power equipment dealership, powersports shop, motorcycle shop, marine dealership, landscaping equipment company or similar mechanical environment is also welcome.
