Small Projects Estimator / Project Manager

Ed Green Construction is seeking a Small Projects Estimator / Project Manager to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position will focus primarily on estimating and managing commercial construction projects up to approximately $750,000.

We are looking for someone with construction estimating and/or project management experience; however, we are also willing to train the right candidate who has a strong construction background, is organized, dependable, and eager to grow into the role.

Position Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for projects from initial bid through completion, including:

• Reviewing plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
• Preparing estimates and project budgets for commercial construction projects
• Performing quantity takeoffs and developing scopes of work
• Soliciting and reviewing subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Preparing and submitting bids and proposals
• Attending pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
• Managing project schedules and maintaining communication with project stakeholders
• Reviewing and processing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation
• Monitoring project costs and budget throughout construction
• Assisting with procurement and material coordination
• Conducting site visits to monitor project progress
• Managing project closeout documentation
• Maintaining multiple small projects and bids simultaneously

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Previous commercial construction estimating and/or project management experience
• Experience managing projects from estimating through closeout
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and subcontractor scopes
• Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project management software
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
