Vic’s Meat is looking for an experienced Smallgoods Maker to join our production team in Mascot.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows smallgoods production and is comfortable working across different products, equipment and processes.

About the role

You’ll be involved in:

• Preparing meat for seasoning, curing and production
• Making sausages, ham, bacon, cured meats and other smallgoods
• Mixing seasonings, spices, salts and other ingredients
• Operating mincers, grinders, mixers, tumblers, fillers, clippers and other production equipment
• Using smoking, cooking and curing equipment
• Following recipes and production specifications
• Checking product quality and consistency
• Preparing finished products for distribution
• Helping with production planning and stock requirements
• Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised
• Working across different areas of production when needed

About you

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Around 3 years or more experience in smallgoods, meat processing or industrial butchery
• Experience using meat-processing equipment
• A good understanding of curing, filling, smoking and cooked meat production
• Good food safety and hygiene practices
• Strong attention to detail
• A reliable and practical attitude
• The ability to work well with the team
• Pride in producing a quality product
