Join Alcoa's Portland Aluminium Smelter as a Smelter Operator Trainee in February 2027 and start a rewarding career with one of the region's largest and most established employers. Gain valuable skills, work with a supportive team, and help produce aluminium that's used in everyday products and industries across Australia and around the world.

Whether you're coming from manufacturing, trades, logistics, agriculture, hospitality, retail or are simply looking for a new challenge, we'll provide the training and support needed to help you succeed.

At Alcoa, you'll join one of Portland's largest and most established employers, where you'll be part of a supportive and inclusive team that values continuous improvement and personal development. In return, you'll have access to ongoing training, career development opportunities and the chance to build a long-term career with a global industry leader.
