Smoke Shop Sales Associate

We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and customer-friendly Sales Associate to join our smoke shop team.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Assist customers with tobacco, vape, and smoke shop products
• Operate the cash register and handle cash/card transactions accurately
• Check customer IDs and follow all age-verification requirements
• Keep the store clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Receive and organize inventory
• Follow all store policies and Florida laws regarding tobacco and age-restricted products
• Maintain awareness of store security and report suspicious activity
• Help prevent theft and unauthorized sales
• Complete opening/closing duties when scheduled

Requirements

• Previous experience at a smoke shop, tobacco store, gas station, or similar retail environment is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of tobacco and smoke shop products is a major plus
• Must be dependable and able to arrive on time
• Must be comfortable checking IDs and refusing sales when necessary
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Must be 21+
• Must be able to pass any required employment screening

Why Experience Matters

Smoke shops sell age-restricted products and require employees to follow strict identification and sales procedures. Previous tobacco or smoke shop experience is preferred because it helps employees understand proper ID verification, product handling, store procedures, and compliance requirements.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
