SUMMARY:

The Smart Construction Solutions Expert will monitor, adjust, train, and fully optimize telematics systems employed by manufacturers of General Equipment & Supplies with respect to the promotion of Parts & Service. This person will work with PSSR’s & Salesmen to promote General Equipment & Supplies products/services, while helping the customer control their costs through innovative ideas, prompt follow through, and strong leadership. Will serve as the coordinator for the intelligent machine control support strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Smart Construction Tasks:

• Set up, calibrate and position check new machines within spec
• Work with the Service Department on intelligent machines that are in for repair and coordinate calibration time
• Calibrate and position check all used machines that come into the yard, verify they are with in spec
• Assist the Service Department on diagnosis and repairs of GPS/Machine control items
• Schedule machine updates with customers
• Complete machine updates in the field or the shop
• Watch for factory campaigns related to GPS/machine control components
• Help customers set up job sites as well as machines up on site
• Perform Smart Construction Experiences with salesman and customers
• Identify customer emergencies and manage priorities accordingly

• Qualified candidate will have a 4-year degree or a 2-year degree with work experience. Degree(s) and work must be in a related field to either Construction Machinery, Construction Management, Project Management and/or Business Management.
• This individual must be able to prioritize their time as the varying needs of the customer and management will dictate the day to day duties but must never lose sight of the goal of high customer service for the customer.
• Must have excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects
• Must have a positive mental attitude and be able to accept coaching
• This individual must possess the understanding of process flows within an organization
• This individual must be willing to ask questions when necessary
• This individual must be able to communicate with management the tasks at hand, as well as the tasks to be completed to gain feedback necessary to complete the tasks
• This individual must be able to think ahead and keep in close contact with managers so that information can be communicated in a timely manner
• To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must be able to quickly learn and use Distributor business system
• Must be able to communicate the needs of the customer and work with necessary teams within General Equipment.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and use problem solving techniques to promptly and accurately address customer issues.
• Must be eager, driven, and a self-starter capable of working alone effectively.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:

• Requires prolonged standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching
• Requires ability to push, lift, pull, and/or carry 50 lbs. or more
• Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
