• The Opportunity

• This role offers the opportunity to take a leading position within our SMSF division while working closely with our broader Business Services team. You will be responsible for overseeing SMSF engagements, managing workflow, supporting team members and ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery to clients.

• For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to broaden your exposure through involvement in Business Services work alongside SMSF engagements.

• Key Responsibilities

• • Oversee and manage SMSF engagements from commencement through to completion
  • Prepare and review SMSF financial statements, annual returns and compliance documentation
  • Process and review transactions within BGL Simple Fund 360
  • Liaise with clients, advisors, external auditors and other stakeholders
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines
  • Assist with superannuation advice and technical matters as required
  • Mentor, guide and support junior team members
  • Maintain high levels of technical compliance and quality assurance

• About You

• To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical SMSF expertise together with excellent communication and organisational skills.

• You will ideally have:

• • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualification (or be near completion)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in SMSF accounting within a public practice environment
  • Strong knowledge of Australian superannuation legislation and compliance requirements
  • Sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and auditing requirements for SMSFs
  • Experience preparing SMSF financial statements, tax returns and compliance reporting
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • A proactive and professional approach with a genuine commitment to client service
