SMT Engineer (Chonburi)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process Documentation: Provide and maintain clear process instructions and process flows for SMT manufacturing lines.
2. Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives to maximize yield and quality while minimizing scrap and cycle time.
3. NPI & Transfer: Coordinate the transfer of new products, processes, tooling, and equipment as assigned.
4. Yield Monitoring: Report and monitor daily yields of critical operations; identify downward trends and implement immediate corrective actions.
5. Technical Problem Solving: Develop robust solutions to technical problems using engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
6. Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional personnel regarding process activities and provide accurate data or recommendations to management.
7. Customer Alignment: Maintain a deep understanding of customer expectations and drive the section to meet or exceed those requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: B.A/B.S., B.Eng., M.A/M.S., or M. Eng in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering fields.
• Experience: 0–5 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT environments.
• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in computer programs and engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with SMT equipment, software control, and tool design/modifications.
• Language: Good command of both written and spoken English.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working in SMT or PCBA process/manufacturing engineering.
• Hands on experience with stencil print, SPI, pick & place, reflow, AOI, ICT, x-ray inspection, underfill and staking processes.
• Ability to define requirements for equipment and process control.
• Ability to design efficient floor layout and drive facilities improvements.
• Experience with high volume commercial, industrial or consumer grade electronics manufacturing.
• Proven experience in dynamic NPI environment and transition to full scale production.
• Good command of English both written and verbal.
