We’re looking to add an Engineer, SMT Equipmentin Bayan Lepas and Batu Kawan plant.

About the role:

As an Engineer, SMT Equipment, you will Specialize in SMT equipment engineering knowledge and experience to provide technical support, troubleshoot and fulfil periodic preventive maintenance to SMT equipment operation.

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in company activities which involve continual quality, yield and productivity improvements on assigned processes in SMT Equipment engineering.
• Compliance to environmental legislative when performing routine jobs or special tasks within job scope.
• Discuss with technical lead and program manager on any issue that need support from inter-department function.
• Monitor and manages equipment utilization and upgrading for product need.
• Coordinate and liaise with related department on any assigned validation and qualification build.
• Ensure the processes/Equipment are optimised and support Production Target/ readiness
• Establish the standard operating procedures and trouble-shooting methodologies where apply.
• Follow up on equipment/line/product transfer plan.
• Provide support for overall manufacturing and operation.
• Review Process Control Plan and Risk Assessment from the team.
• Prepare documentation to fulfil ISO or quality system through team member where it in use.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering with minimum 5 years relevant working experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience.
• Preferably familiar with EMS or contract manufacturing environment with 3–5 years of experience in SMT manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with SMT equipment such as Fuji NXT, Takaya, Koh-Young, Heller, or BTU systems.
• Strong knowledge of SMT assembly processes and equipment are advantageous.
• Knowledge of SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
