SMT Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an SMT Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability, and efficiency of SMT machinery and equipment. This role is responsible for supporting stable and continuous production by minimizing machine downtime and breakdowns through effective preventive and predictive maintenance. The position also plays an important role in equipment improvement, troubleshooting, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting of SMT machines, jigs, fixtures, and equipment to ensure equipment availability and reliability.

• Ensure smooth production operations by minimizing machine downtime and maintenance-related line stoppages.

• Execute Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and support breakdown elimination activities to improve equipment reliability.

• Maintain and manage critical spare parts and maintenance consumables to support uninterrupted production.

• Provide day-to-day maintenance support for SMT shop floor equipment and related utilities.

• Support production line expansion, equipment installation, and continuous improvement projects.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in accordance with QMS and customer-specific requirements.

• Support the maintenance and operation of key SMT equipment, including Solder Paste Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, AOI, PCB Conveyor & Handling System, and Wave/Selective Soldering equipment, where applicable.

• Establish and maintain standard process parameters and operating conditions for SMT equipment.

• Monitor Reflow Oven temperature profiles and ensure they meet product specifications and process requirements.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and 5S during all maintenance activities.

About you

• Bachelor degree in engineering
• At least 3 years in engineering or SMT maintenance from manufacturing
• Able to use equipment tools
• Able to use MS Office
• Able to understand English
• Able to set preventive plan
• Basic electrical knowledge
• POKA-YOKE and safety management knowledge
• People, planning and negotiation skills
• Stock and budget control skill
