SMT Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate SMT pick-and-place machines as per the approved production plan.
• Verify PCB part number, component part number, BOM, and feeder loading before starting production.
• Load and set up feeders, reels, PCB magazines, and components correctly.
• Check machine programs, component positions, polarity, and orientation before production.
• Ensure proper coordination with the solder paste printing and reflow soldering processes.
• Monitor machine alarms, component pick-up errors, feeder issues, and placement accuracy.
• Perform first-piece inspection and obtain QC approval before mass production.
• Monitor PCB assembly quality for missing components, wrong components, misalignment, tombstoning, and polarity errors.
• Maintain hourly production, rejection, downtime, and machine output records.
• Identify abnormal conditions and immediately inform the Production Supervisor and Quality Department.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electronics or a relevant technical qualification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components, PCB assembly, and SMT processes.
• Knowledge of feeder loading, component polarity, and machine operation.
• Ability to identify common SMT defects and machine alarms.
• Basic record-keeping and communication skills.

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
