About the role
Own SMT product engineering for optical components (TOSA/ROSA/BOX/CPO). Lead NPI, DFM review, BOM/ECN control, yield improvement, and RMA closure. Ensure precision assembly of optical elements & photonic chips.
Key responsibilities
- Review Gerber/BOM/designs → deliver DFM/DFA for optical PCBA & element mounting
- Drive SMT NPI → pilot runs → mass production; release SOP/PFMEA/control plans
- Maintain BOM & material changes; validate alternates & manage ECN/PCN
- Boost first-pass yield; resolve misalignment, solder voids, optical contamination, stress-related failures via 8D/SPC/RCA
- Optimize eutectic/AuSn/underfill processes; support 400G/800G/silicon photonics introduction
- Close RMA/customer issues; train production; support quality audits
About you
- Bachelor in Elec/Opto/Materials
- 3+ years SMT PE experience
- Optical component background preferred
- Proficient in Gerber, SPC, 8D, Minitab
- Familiar with high-precision SMT, reflow, AOI/X-Ray
- Understand optical device packaging, ESD/cleanroom controls
- Fluent in technical English; Thai is a plus
