SMT Technician

Job Responsibilities

1. Drive machine utilization and operational efficiency with minimal downtime.
2. Monitor and adjust production processes to optimize efficiency and output.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and equipment malfunctions.
4. To support on set up and operation of machines when needed.
5. Escalate issues to the SMT Production Supervisor, especially in cases of high fallout.
6. Meet or exceed daily production standards set by the SMT Production Supervisor.
7. Identify and develop potential operator to handle appropriate equipment and encourage high throughput, quality, and efficiency.
8. Ensure all production machinery is maintained in good working condition.
9. Maintain a clean work environment and ensure equipment cleanliness at all times.
10. Accurately and promptly complete all production records and reports, either in the system or in the required format.
11. Guide and support operators in developing the skills required for their roles.
12. Monitor and update hourly production status.
13. Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by your direct superior.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma / technical qualification or equivalent manufacturing experience.
2. Minimum 2 years of SMT or manufacturing environment experience.
3. Good understanding of SMT processes and production flow.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
