SMT TECHNICIAN

JOB DISCRIPTION

· Operate SMT pick‑and‑place machines, reflow ovens, screen printers, SPI, AOI, and X‑ray systems.

· Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and replacement of worn parts.

· Troubleshoot machine issues, recalibrate equipment, and collaborate with maintenance teams.

· Create and load programs for AOI, AXI, SPI, and pick‑and‑place machines.

· Configure machines for new production runs, including nozzle selection, conveyor settings, and solder profiles.

· Develop soldering profiles for reflow ovens and hot‑air rework stations.

· Accurately place and solder SMT components following

· Inspect boards using AOI, X‑ray, microscopes, and manual inspection.

· Troubleshoot defects, perform rework, and ensure product reliability.

· Assist operators and area leads with technical issues.

· Maintain process documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.

· Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings.

· Hands‑on experience with SMT equipment

· Strong soldering and rework skills (SMT and through‑hole).

· Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 standards.

· Good hand‑eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to use magnification tools.

Education & Experience

· Technical school certificate or AA degree preferred; 5+ years of experience may substitute.

· Prior experience with PCB assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing is beneficial.

Physical Demands

· Standing for long periods and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

· Dexterity for fine component handling and tool use.

Career Path

· Advancement to Senior SMT Technician, Process Engineer, Test Engineer, or Production Supervisor.

· SMT Technicians play a critical role in ensuring high‑quality, efficient PCB assembly in modern electronics manufacturing.

Pay: Php18,000.00 - Php21,000.00 per month
