Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and international financial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations, VAT filing, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external consultants.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Support management in decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably within the [Construction / Trading / Services] industry in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar tax laws, VAT regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Peachtree, Sage 50, Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Transferable visa and valid Qatar ID preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are an advantage.
