Snow equipment operator

Snow Equipment Operator

A+ Lawn Care is hiring equipment operators for the 2026-27 snow season. Snow removal is the largest part of our business: we plow and salt commercial properties around DeForest, Windsor and Sun Prairie.

The pay is $32 to $40 per hour, depending on the equipment you run and your experience operating in snow. You are on call during the season. Most shifts start overnight or early in the morning, and some fall on weekends and holidays. The job is based in DeForest, and the company provides the trucks and equipment. The season runs from November through March, and operators who finish the season receive an end of season completion bonus. Pay day is every other Friday.

You will plow parking lots, drives and entrances with a plow truck, skid steer, loader or tractor, salt lots when conditions call for it, and return after storms to clear parking stalls and corners and to move snow piles back.

You will need a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our insurance requirements depending on the piece of equipment you are operating. Experience running a plow truck, skid steer, tractor or loader is required. You will also need reliable transportation and a phone that takes calls and texts at night.

A+ Lawn Care is a family-owned company that serves the DeForest area and prides itself on service. We offer year-round work on our landscaping, hardscape and tree crews from spring through fall. Some positions may be eligible to start before the upcoming snow season.
