Position Summary

We are hiring now for Snow Plow Drivers to join our winter operations team. While work will not start until the 2026 winter season (November–April), we’re building our crew early so that training, scheduling, and preparation are in place before the first snow hits.

As a Snow Plow Driver, you’ll be responsible for clearing snow and ice from assigned properties using company trucks equipped with plows and salt spreaders. You may also operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, or wheel loaders to load salt and assist with snow removal. Some manual shoveling may be required for areas not accessible by machinery. This is an on-call seasonal role from November through April, with work primarily during and after snow or ice events.

What You’ll Do

• Operate snow plow trucks and mounted salt spreaders to clear and treat parking lots, roadways, and sidewalks.
• Use heavy equipment (skid steers, backhoes, wheel loaders) to load salt into spreaders.
• Remove snow/ice using hand tools where needed.
• Apply de-icing products according to site requirements.
• Monitor and respond to changing weather conditions.
• Conduct ongoing site inspections for hazards or damage.
• Maintain accurate time logs, service reports, and inventory records.
• Communicate effectively with your Area Manager and team throughout snow events.
• Follow all safety protocols and client-specific requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years snow plowing experience required.
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• MDOT Certified
• Reliable transportation to our facility.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all winter weather conditions.
• Availability for 24/7 on-call work during the snow season.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
• Landscaping experience is a plus and may lead to year-round employment opportunities with Freeman’s.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
