Job Summary

K&H Landscaping is seeking skilled and reliable Snow Removal Contractors/Subcontractors to provide professional snow and ice management services for our residential and commercial properties. The ideal contractor will have experience with snow removal operations, reliable transportation and equipment, and the ability to respond promptly during snow and ice events. This position is well suited for independent snow removal contractors or established landscaping companies looking to take on additional winter work and build a long-term relationship with K&H Landscaping.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform snow removal services at assigned residential and commercial properties.
• Safely operate snow plows, snow blowers, skid steers, tractors, loaders, and other snow removal equipment.
• Clear parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and designated access areas.
• Apply salt, ice melt, and other de-icing materials as directed.
• Monitor assigned properties throughout snow and ice events and perform additional service when required.
• Maintain clear and safe access to entrances, walkways, parking areas, and other designated areas.
• Inspect equipment before and during snow events to ensure it is operating safely and reliably.
• Communicate with K&H Landscaping regarding property conditions, service completion, equipment issues, and additional service requirements.
• Provide photographs or job completion documentation when requested.
• Complete assigned routes and properties efficiently and according to K&H Landscaping's quality standards.
• Follow property-specific snow removal plans and service requirements.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and use appropriate caution around vehicles, pedestrians, buildings, curbs, landscaping, and other property features.
• Maintain reliable communication with K&H Landscaping before, during, and after snow events.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in snow removal, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field.
• Proven experience with residential and/or commercial snow removal.
• Experience operating commercial snow removal equipment.
• Must own reliable truck, plow, snow blower, skid steer, tractor, loader, or other appropriate equipment.
• Salt spreader experience and equipment required.
• Ability to respond to assigned properties during snow and ice events, including overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday operations when necessary.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned properties without direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow routes, schedules, property specifications, and customer requirements.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must provide active business license and insurance coverage.
• Ability to provide references or examples of previous snow removal work.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in cold, snow, ice, wind, and varying winter weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate snow removal equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to access and perform work throughout residential and commercial properties.
