Snow Removal Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

The operator is responsible for removing snow with a well-maintained late model skid steer tractor equipped with a blower. Work is predominantly residential driveways. Substantial experience operating heavy equipment is required. Snow-related equipment experience is a plus, but we are willing to train if it's the right fit.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate snow removal equipment to maintain access for residential properties
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Utilize routing software to log service details
• Report mechanical issues that may arise to vehicle maintenance immediately
• Provide friendly and professional guest service at any time of contact with customers
• Maintain communication with office/management
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies

• Current / valid driver license
• Experience operating snow removal or heavy equipment machines
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Availability to work early morning shifts
• Ability to shovel heavy loads of snow as needed
• Experience working with and around heavy equipment safely
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with others

Work Schedule

Schedule is on call. Routes are dispatched at 4" of snow accumulation and begin as early as 4am. Must be available to work from November 1 to April 15. In a typical year this position is part time with an average of 20 working days per season, although there may be more or less depending on the weather.

Working Conditions

Must be willing to work in varying weather conditions such as high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and cold temperatures

Salary

$3,000.00 per month salary with $1,000 end of season bonus

Pay: $3,000.00 per month
