Snow Removal Helper

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Snow Removal Helper to assist with snow and ice removal at a commercial property during the winter season. The primary responsibility will be keeping the main entrance, rear entrance, and designated pedestrian pathways clear and safe for employees, visitors, and contractors.

This is a hands-on outdoor position that requires physical activity and flexibility during snow events. The successful candidate will work as part of a team and assist with maintaining safe access to the property during and after snowfall.

Responsibilities

• Remove snow from the main entrance, rear entrance, sidewalks, and designated pedestrian pathways using shovels and other hand tools.
• Apply salt or ice-melting products to entrances and walkways as required.
• Assist the snow removal team with clearing and maintaining safe pedestrian access around the property.
• Keep entrances and walkways clear of snow and ice throughout and after snow events.
• Assist with snow removal around doors, stairs, ramps, and other pedestrian access points.
• Use snow blowers and other small snow-removal equipment when required and properly trained.
• Follow all safety procedures and instructions from the supervisor.
• Report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or areas requiring additional attention.
• Maintain and properly store snow removal tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Previous snow removal, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to perform physical work, including shoveling and lifting.
• Comfortable working outdoors in cold and snowy conditions.
• Reliable and punctual, particularly during snow events.
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to safety and pedestrian accessibility.

Position Details

• Job Type: Seasonal / Part-Time
• Location: Commercial Property
• Pay: $22.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience
• Schedule: On-call during snow events; hours may vary depending on weather conditions
• Experience: Snow removal experience is an asset, but training can be provided

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 15.0 per week
