Snow Loader Operator Job Description

Superb Group Inc. is a vibrant snow removal and landscaping company based in Guelph, proudly serving Commercial, Industrial, and Condominium properties throughout Guelph, Kitchener/Waterloo, and Cambridge. We are committed to providing a positive, safe, and professional working environment and are currently seeking reliable Snow Loader Operators to join our winter team.

This is an on-call, 24/7 contract position running from November 15th, 2024 to April 20th, 2025.

What You Will Be Doing

• Safely and efficiently operate loaders (and related heavy equipment) to clear snow and ice from parking lots, roadways, and designated areas.
• Load and relocate snow as required to maintain site safety and accessibility.
• Assist with salt application and de-icing operations when needed.
• Perform routine pre-trip inspections and circle checks, reporting any mechanical or safety concerns immediately.
• Respond to on-call assignments within 1 hour, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Follow assigned routes, site plans, and operational instructions to ensure thorough and timely snow removal.
• Maintain accurate records/logs for equipment use, fuel, and service hours.
• Submit required documentation electronically and/or manually at the end of each shift.
• Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures at all times.

What You Bring to the Team

• Previous experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment is required.
• Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be legally able to drive in Ontario.
• Strong awareness of surroundings and attention to detail when operating equipment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly to changing weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed site-specific instructions.
• Physically capable of working outdoors in cold, snowy conditions for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for reporting, documentation, and communication.

Compensation

• Negotiable based on experience
• Hours are weather-dependent and not guaranteed
• This is an outdoor, on-call position
• Successful candidates must have and wear appropriate warm, weather-proof clothing

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
