Snow Removal Operator

Duties

• Operate snow plows, snow blowers, shovels, and other groundskeeping equipment to remove snow and ice from designated areas
• Apply salt or de-icing materials safely and effectively to prevent ice formation
• Monitor weather conditions to anticipate snowfall and plan timely snow removal efforts
• Conduct routine inspections of outdoor pathways, parking lots, and entrances to identify hazards or icy spots
• Maintain equipment by performing basic troubleshooting, cleaning, fueling, and safety checks
• Follow established safety protocols during all snow removal activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Communicate with team members regarding priority areas and ongoing snow removal operations

Requirements

• Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred
• Mechanical knowledge of groundkeeping equipment such as plows, blowers, power tools, and hand tools
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, gardening, hardscape upkeep, and irrigation systems
• Ability to identify plants and understand horticultural principles beneficial for groundskeeping tasks beyond winter months
• Knowledge of pesticide management and safety procedures related to outdoor chemical application (nice-to-have)
• Strong adherence to safety protocols during equipment operation and outdoor work activities
• Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, shoveling, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred for equipment operation purposes

Pay: $24.97 - $40.00 per hour
