What they need

We are looking for motivated and reliable Skid Steer Operator to join our team for the winter season in the St. Paul area. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining safe, accessible operations for high-volume commercial and zero-tolerance industrial trucking facilities.

If you are a skilled skid steer operator who takes pride in precision work, strict safety standards, and keeping operations moving through Minnesotan winters, we want to hear from you. (Great opportunity for seasonal/laid-off heavy equipment operators!)

Key Responsibilities

  • Skid Steer Operation: Efficiently and safely operate skid steers equipped with plows, pushers, and salt spreaders in commercial lots and industrial fleet environments.
  • Snow & Ice Control: Clear pathways, driveways, loading docks, and parking areas; apply salt and de-icing agents to eliminate hazards before, during, and after winter weather events.
  • Site Hazards & Quality Control: Perform routine pre- and post-clearing inspections of entryways, high-traffic lanes, and walkways to ensure zero-tolerance standards are met.
  • Equipment Care: Perform daily pre-trip equipment checks, routine fluid checks, clearing, and minor operational adjustments to keep machinery in peak working condition.
  • Safety & Communication: Strictly adhere to site safety protocols and communicate clearly with dispatch and site managers regarding job completion, weather shifts, or site risks.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior commercial snow removal, heavy equipment operation (skid steer experience mandatory), or winter groundskeeping experience preferred.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment and operating power tools.
  • Situational Awareness: Ability to navigate busy trucking yards safely and preserve surrounding landscape, curbs, and structures during snow displacement.
  • Physical & Weather Readiness: Stamina to work extended shifts in sub-zero temps and adverse winter conditions.
  • Reliability: Dependable transportation and quick response time for weather-dependent call-outs.

Why Join Us?

We offer competitive hourly rates, reliable winter hours, well-maintained equipment, and a safety-first team environment.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
