Duties

• Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from designated areas
• Assess weather conditions regularly to plan timely snow removal operations
• Apply de-icing materials safely and effectively to prevent ice buildup
• Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify hazardous icy patches or snow accumulation
• Maintain all groundskeeping and landscaping equipment in excellent working condition through proper care and safety protocol adherence
• Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents during outdoor winter operations
• Assist with basic landscape maintenance tasks as needed to support overall groundskeeping efforts

Experience

• Previous outdoor work experience, especially in snow removal or grounds maintenance roles
• Knowledge of landscaping practices, including plant identification and basic horticulture principles
• Familiarity with groundskeeping equipment operation such as power tools, hand tools, and irrigation systems
• Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance of landscaping and groundskeeping machinery
• Experience with hardscape features and lawn care techniques is a plus
• Understanding of safety protocols specific to outdoor work environments during winter conditions
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
