Job Summary

We are looking for a Snowflake Administrator with 3 - 5 years of experience to manage, monitor, optimize, and support Snowflake environments integrated with Oracle Applications.

The candidate will be responsible for Snowflake administration, security, user and role management, performance monitoring, warehouse management, data loading, troubleshooting, and coordination with Oracle application, database, ETL, and development teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake administration and Oracle Applications/Oracle databases, along with good understanding of data integration and enterprise data environments.

Key Responsibilities

Snowflake Administration

• Perform day-to-day administration and support of Snowflake environments.
• Manage Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, file formats, warehouses, and other objects.
• Create and manage virtual warehouses based on workload requirements.
• Monitor warehouse utilization, query performance, and resource consumption.
• Manage Snowflake environments across development, testing, and production.
• Support database refreshes, cloning, replication, and environment management.
• Troubleshoot Snowflake performance, connectivity, and data-related issues.

Security & Access Management

• Manage Snowflake users, roles, privileges, and access controls.
• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) following enterprise security standards.
• Manage authentication and access policies.
• Support security audits and compliance requirements.
• Ensure appropriate access segregation between development, testing, and production environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot authorization and access-related issues.

Performance & Cost Optimization

• Monitor Snowflake query and warehouse performance.
• Identify long-running and resource-intensive queries.
• Optimize warehouse sizing, auto-suspend, auto-resume, and scaling configurations.
• Analyze Snowflake consumption and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Work with development and data engineering teams to improve query performance.
• Monitor storage and compute utilization.

Oracle Applications Integration

• Support Snowflake environments that receive data from Oracle Applications / Oracle ERP environments.
• Work with Oracle application and database teams to troubleshoot data extraction, loading, and integration issues.
• Understand data flows between Oracle Applications, Oracle databases, ETL/ELT platforms, and Snowflake.
• Support data validation and reconciliation between Oracle source systems and Snowflake.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and data synchronization issues.

Data Loading & ETL/ELT Support

• Support data ingestion into Snowflake from Oracle and other enterprise sources.
• Work with Snowpipe, COPY commands, stages, file formats, and external/internal stages.
• Monitor scheduled data loads and troubleshoot failures.
• Support ETL/ELT teams in resolving production data-loading issues.
• Validate data completeness and consistency following data loads.

Monitoring & Production Support

• Monitor Snowflake environments and proactively identify potential issues.
• Provide L2/L3 production support for Snowflake-related incidents.
• Perform root-cause analysis for performance, availability, connectivity, and data issues.
• Coordinate with application, database, infrastructure, ETL, and vendor teams for issue resolution.
• Maintain incident, problem, and change-management documentation.
• Participate in production deployments and maintenance activities.

Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity

• Support Snowflake data recovery using capabilities such as Time Travel and Fail-safe.
• Assist with backup, recovery, cloning, and disaster recovery activities.
• Support business continuity and high-availability requirements.
• Participate in DR testing and recovery validation.

Required Technical Skills

• 3 - 5 years of experience in Snowflake Administration.

• Experience with Snowflake stages, file formats, and COPY/Snowpipe.

• Strong troubleshooting and production-support skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Oracle E-Business Suite / Oracle EBS exposure.
• Oracle Fusion Applications exposure.
• Experience with Oracle Financials / SCM / HCM data.
• Exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with BI/reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of Snowflake security and governance.
• Exposure to Snowflake performance and cost optimization tools.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Education
