About The Client

Our client is a boutique, 30-person martech and data consultancy, founded in 2018 by former Big Four consultants. They help Fortune 50 brands, largely in retail, turn large, messy customer datasets into structured, usable assets. That means designing and building customer data platforms, data pipelines and data strategy that power marketing, loyalty and analytics. The firm is tech-agnostic, but client demand centers on Snowflake and Databricks.

The Role

You'll be the hands-on data architect and engineer on a Consumer 360 platform build for a major retail client. You'll design the architecture, build the pipelines, and work directly with client stakeholders to make sure the platform serves real marketing, loyalty and analytics use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build a Consumer 360 / customer data platform on an AWS Lakehouse architecture using Snowflake (and/or Databricks)
• Design and implement data integrations and pipeline workflows that consolidate customer data from multiple source systems
• Model raw data into analytics-ready layers that support marketing, loyalty and analytics use cases
• Act as a client-facing technical lead: gather requirements, recommend architecture and stack decisions, and explain trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders
• Work with the client's internal engineering teams and third-party vendors to keep integrations and data flows aligned with business needs
• Contribute to future engagements and, optionally, help bring in new client work

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and building data warehouses or lakehouses in Snowflake (Databricks experience also valued)
• Strong SQL and Python, with experience building production data pipelines and integrations
• Experience with AWS-based data architecture
• Strong customer-facing communication skills; comfortable working directly with client stakeholders and making recommendations
• Able to work independently and own a build end to end
• Based in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building customer 360, CDP, or marketing/loyalty data platforms
• Consulting or client-facing delivery background
• Greenfield platform builds or large-scale legacy-to-cloud migrations
• Retail or e-commerce data experience
