Snowflake Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with 1-3 yrs. of experience, to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data solutions using Snowflake and modern cloud data technologies.

Data Engineering & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration processes.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake and related data engineering tools.
• Build and maintain data models, schemas, views, tables, and stored procedures in Snowflake.
• Integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, files, and cloud-based applications.
• Develop reusable and efficient SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
• Implement data ingestion and transformation processes following established data engineering standards.

Snowflake Administration & Optimization

• Develop and maintain Snowflake databases, warehouses, schemas, and data structures.
• Monitor Snowflake workloads and optimize queries, warehouse utilization, and overall performance.
• Implement appropriate data storage, partitioning, clustering, and optimization strategies.
• Manage data access and permissions in coordination with security and infrastructure teams.
• Monitor data pipeline performance and troubleshoot data processing issues.

Data Quality & Governance

• Implement data validation and quality checks throughout data pipelines.
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, duplication, and transformation issues.
• Support data governance, documentation, lineage, and metadata management initiatives.
• Ensure data solutions follow company security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Support

• Work with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Translate business and reporting requirements into technical data solutions.
• Troubleshoot production data issues and provide timely resolution.
• Document data pipelines, processes, technical specifications, and system dependencies.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities.
