About the role

We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team on a contractor basis. You will develop and maintain data solutions that support business reporting and analytics, working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformations in Snowflake.
• Build and maintain data models for reporting and analytics.
• Monitor data quality and investigate pipeline issues.
• Optimise SQL queries and improve the performance and reliability of data solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation.

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data modelling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
