Snowflake DBT Developer

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake DBT Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and SQL to design, develop, and maintain scalable data transformation and analytics solutions.

The candidate will work on modern cloud data platforms, developing efficient data models and ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dbt models, transformations, tests, snapshots, macros, and incremental models.
• Build and optimize data transformation pipelines using dbt on Snowflake.
• Develop complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Design and implement scalable data models in Snowflake.
• Work with Fact and Dimension tables, Star/Snowflake schemas, and dimensional modelling.
• Implement data quality checks, testing, documentation, and data lineage using dbt.
• Optimize Snowflake queries and warehouse performance.
• Work with large datasets and troubleshoot data transformation and pipeline issues.
• Develop reusable dbt frameworks and follow coding and modelling best practices.
• Integrate data from multiple source systems into Snowflake.
• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Support deployment and CI/CD processes for dbt projects.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt / dbt Core / dbt Cloud
• Excellent SQL skills
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and ELT concepts
• Hands-on experience in data modelling
• Experience with dbt models, tests, snapshots, macros, and incremental models
• Experience with Git / version control
• Good understanding of Snowflake architecture and performance optimization

Good to Have

• Working knowledge of Python
• Experience with Airflow or other orchestration tools
• Experience with Snowflake Streams, Tasks and Snowpipe
• Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools
