(Snr) Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and carry out mechanical design for custom automation systems and equipment, from concept development through assembly, testing, and commissioning
• Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, mechanisms, jigs, and fixtures to meet project requirements
• Create and review 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, and design specifications using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
• Perform engineering calculations, component selection, tolerance analysis, and design verification to ensure functionality, reliability, and manufacturability
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation
• Take ownership of assigned projects and manage mechanical design deliverables and schedules to meet project milestones
• Work closely with control engineers, assembly teams, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure successful system integration
• Communicate directly with customers to clarify technical requirements, discuss design proposals, and provide project updates
• Conduct design reviews and recommend practical improvements to equipment performance, safety, and cost
• Provide hands-on technical support during fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective design improvements
• Ensure designs meet project specifications and applicable safety and engineering standards

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of relevant mechanical design experience in industrial automation, custom machinery, or equipment design
• Proven ability to independently develop custom automation equipment from concept through detailed design, assembly, testing, and commissioning
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks for 3D modelling, assembly design, and detailed engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of mechanical mechanisms, component selection, materials, manufacturing processes, and dimensional tolerances
• Practical experience with pneumatic systems, linear motion components, motors, and other automation components
• Able to produce clear fabrication drawings and accurate BOMs
• Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a practical approach to resolving design and assembly issues
• Good communication, coordination, and project planning skills
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for project delivery
