Snubbing Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Snubbing Operator to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment used in well intervention activities, specifically focusing on snubbing operations that involve handling high-pressure tubing and pipework. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and precise execution of well servicing tasks, contributing to the successful completion of complex drilling and production operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on oil rigs and construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills to support energy extraction projects.

Duties

• Operate snubbing units and associated equipment to perform well intervention tasks with precision and safety.
• Rig up and rig down snubbing equipment according to operational procedures and safety standards.
• Monitor pressure gauges, valves, and other instrumentation during operations to ensure system integrity.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment, identifying faults quickly to minimize downtime.
• Manage crew activities, providing guidance and supervision during complex operations.
• Maintain detailed logs of all operations, including pressure readings, equipment status, and safety checks.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment on oil rigs or construction sites, particularly in oil & gas environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to pumping systems, hydraulic systems, and pipeline handling.
• Familiarity with pipeline installation, rigging procedures, and horizontal drilling techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently under pressure.
• Experience with pump operation and managing pumping systems during well interventions.
• Knowledge of safety protocols including OSHA regulations, PPE use, respiratory protection, and outdoor work safety measures.
• Valid commercial truck driving license is preferred for transportation between sites.
• Prior experience in crew management or team supervision is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards.
• Construction experience or familiarity with crane operation adds value to your application.
