SOC Analyst (Nihongo)

About the role

We are looking for a Japanese-speaking SOC Analyst to join our growing Cybersecurity team. This role is responsible for monitoring security events, investigating cyber threats, and helping protect Nidec's global IT environment. You will work closely with security teams across different countries, using both English and Japanese to support incident investigations, threat detection, and security operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Monitor security alerts and events using security monitoring and SIEM tools.
2. Investigate suspicious activities and potential cybersecurity incidents.
3. Escalate security threats and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
4. Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
5. Assist in implementing security controls and best practices across systems and networks.
6. Help maintain endpoint security and threat detection solutions.
7. Document incident investigations, findings, and recommendations.
8. Support cybersecurity awareness activities and security compliance initiatives.
9. Communicate security-related information in both English and Japanese.
10. Participate in shift-based security operations as required.

What we're looking for

1. Fluent in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
2. JLPT N2 passer or equivalent conversational fluency
3. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
4. Understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals
5. Knowledge of security monitoring, threat detection, or incident response
6. Experience with SIEM, EDR, or security monitoring platforms
7. Knowledge of CrowdStrike, Rapid7, Cisco Umbrella, Microsoft Security solutions, or similar tools
8. Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or equivalent
9. Willingness to work on shifting schedules or night shifts
