ABOUT BMD

BMD is Australia's leading integrated engineering, construction and urban development business. As the largest privately owned civil contractor in Australia, BMD is at the forefront of excellence.

Over a 45-year history, BMD has grown to become a $2+ billion operation, now sharing our expertise internationally in the Philippines and the UK.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Tram to Springvale Alliance (TSA), made up of BMD Constructions, CPB Contractors and Arup, is delivering the Eastern Freeway Upgrades between Tram and Springvale roads. The works include new express lanes, upgraded noise walls, and revitalised areas of the Koonung Creek Linear Park.

The project is being delivered under an Alliance Contract with Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA), forming a single, collaborative team.  As part of the North East Link Program (NELP).

We’re completing the link together and bringing it home for our community.

  • Lead and support stakeholder engagement activities, events, workshops and awareness initiatives.
  • Help deliver volunteering, networking, supplier showcase and community-focused programs.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, communications and performance data to support project commitments and outcomes.
  • Monitor program performance and identify opportunities to improve social impact, workforce participation and community outcomes.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You may have experience in:

  • Stakeholder/Community engagement
  • HR, recruitment or workforce development
  • Communications, project coordination or program delivery
  • Diversity & inclusion, admin & reporting
  • Government, not-for-profit or construction-related environments

Most importantly, you’ll bring:

  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence working with data, reporting and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • A genuine interest in creating positive social and community outcomes.

WHAT WE OFFER

This is an opportunity to contribute to one of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects while developing your career in a growing and high-impact discipline.

  • Permanent employment, competitive salary and long-term project pipelines.
  • A collaborative team that values inclusion, innovation and continuous learning.
  • Be recognised at our annual employee awards event and through our Thrive reward and recognition platform.
  • Access wellness programs, strong work-life balance initiatives, paid parental leave, retail discounts, industry training and memberships & more.

If you're someone who enjoys connecting people, coordinating initiatives and making a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.
