Social Media Assistant Intern

Digital Sage Agency is a data-driven marketing and digital agency based in Brunei. We manage social media, run paid campaigns, and build digital systems for a growing portfolio of clients across Brunei and Southeast Asia.

We're looking for a Social Media Assistant intern to join our social media team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role — you'll be working directly on real client accounts from day one, supporting the Social Media Lead in planning, producing, and publishing content across multiple brands.

Success in this role looks like: content going out accurately and on time, captions that reflect the client's brand voice, and a growing ability to manage multiple accounts without dropping the ball. The right person is organised, genuinely curious about social media as a craft, and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced agency environment.

Responsibilities Content Planning & Scheduling → Support the Social Media Lead in planning monthly content calendars for client accounts

→ Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

→ Ensure all content goes out accurately, on time, and in line with each client's brand guidelines

Content Production Support → Write and draft captions for client social media posts

→ Coordinate with the design team to brief and follow up on visual assets

→ Organise and maintain content files, assets, and approval records for each client

Team Collaboration → Work closely with the Social Media Lead and Creative Team on client deliverables

→ Participate in team check-ins and content review sessions

→ Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail

Qualifications Education & Experience → Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field

→ Prior experience managing social media accounts (personal, freelance, or for an organisation) is an advantage

→ Fresh graduates and final-year students are encouraged to apply

Skills → Solid understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok as platforms

→ Good written English and Malay; able to write clear, on-brand captions

→ Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

→ Eye for detail; notices when something looks or sounds off before it goes live

→ Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Tools (experience Is An Advantage, Not Required) → Canva or similar design tools

→ Meta Business Suite

→ Notion or any project management platform

→ Scheduling tools such as Metricool

Personal Attributes → Genuinely interested in social media and digital marketing; not just as a user but as a practitioner

→ Proactive and willing to ask questions when unsure

→ Takes feedback well and applies it quickly

→ Self-directed and reliable; remote work requires you to manage your own time well
