Max Exteriors LLC — Roofing & Paintless Dent Repair

Employment type: [Full-time / Part-time]
Compensation: 18-25 a hour.
Schedule: On request

About the Position
Max Exteriors LLC is hiring a creative, dependable, and personable Social Media Content Creator to help showcase both sides of our business: roofing and paintless dent repair, also known as PDR.
We are looking for someone who can turn our everyday work into content people actually want to watch, from roof transformations and vehicle dent repairs to customer stories, employee introductions, educational videos, and funny behind-the-scenes moments.
Being comfortable in front of the camera and bringing a positive attitude are essential requirements for this position. You will not only film other people. You will also appear in videos, introduce projects, ask questions, explain services, and help give our company a recognizable personality online.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being around people, can take an idea from planning through editing, and knows how to keep content engaging without losing professionalism.
What We Want Our Content to Accomplish
Our social media should help local homeowners and vehicle owners understand what we do, see the quality of our work, and feel comfortable reaching out.
We want people to recognize our team, understand our services, and remember Max Exteriors when they need roofing or dent repair. Our content should feel authentic, local, informative, and entertaining—not like a page filled with stock photos and repetitive “call today” posts.
The right person will help us balance personality with purpose: creating content that builds trust, grows our audience, and encourages qualified inquiries for both divisions.
Content Needs: Roofing
You will work with our roofing team to document projects and create content that helps homeowners understand our work and the people behind it.
Roofing content will include:
- Project transformations: Before, during, and after footage of roof repairs and replacements, including progress updates and finished-project walkthroughs.
- Homeowner education: Short videos covering common roofing questions, visible warning signs, maintenance topics, roofing materials, and what customers can expect during a project.
- Storm and hail damage: Approved educational content explaining the inspection process, documenting actual damage, and answering common questions without making unsupported insurance or coverage promises.
- Team and customer stories: Introductions to our roofing representatives and crews, customer testimonials with permission, and behind-the-scenes footage showing how projects come together.
You should be comfortable visiting active job sites, speaking on camera from approved filming areas, and asking our roofing specialists questions that help explain the work in everyday language.
Content Needs: Paintless Dent Repair
You will work with our PDR team to show the repair process, highlight completed work, and help vehicle owners understand paintless dent repair.
PDR content will include:
- Before-and-after results: Clear, consistent footage of vehicle hail damage, door dings, creases, and other dents our technicians assess and repair.
- Repair-process videos: Close-ups, time-lapses, technician explanations, and satisfying repair footage that accurately shows the work being performed.
- Customer education: Videos explaining what PDR is, how technicians evaluate damage, why some repairs are suitable for PDR and others are not, and what to expect during an appointment.
- People and personality: Technician introductions, day-in-the-shop videos, customer reactions with permission, common questions, and entertaining content built around real shop experiences.
PDR content should showcase more than hail damage alone. We also want to highlight everyday dent repair, technician skill, customer service, and the overall experience of working with our team.
Previous roofing or PDR experience is helpful, but it is not required. A willingness to learn both businesses and verify information before posting is required.
Main ResponsibilitiesPlan Content and Bring Ideas
Work with the Marketing Manager to build a practical content calendar covering both roofing and PDR. Bring original ideas, identify useful questions to answer, and look for opportunities to create recurring video series.
You should be able to arrive at a shoot with a clear plan while also recognizing unscripted moments worth capturing.
Film and Appear in Videos
Capture footage at job sites, the PDR shop, the office, and scheduled company activities. Record project updates, interviews, walkthroughs, demonstrations, and supporting footage.
Appear on camera regularly. This may include introducing a roofing project, interviewing a technician, explaining a service using approved information, or responding to a common customer question.
Help team members feel comfortable being filmed by giving simple direction and keeping the experience relaxed and professional.
Edit Finished, Ready-to-Review Content
Turn raw footage into polished short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Editing responsibilities include selecting strong opening moments, trimming unnecessary footage, adding accurate captions, balancing audio, and applying appropriate branding. Finished content should be easy to understand, visually clear, and suitable for the intended platform.
Create supporting photos, graphics, cover images, and story content as needed.
Write Captions and Prepare Posts
Write captions that match the company’s personality and explain the value of the content. Include an appropriate next step when relevant, such as contacting the roofing team or asking about a dent assessment.
Check spelling, service details, names, and contact information before submitting work. Follow the company’s review process and publish or schedule content only after approval.
Stay Organized and Communicate
Maintain an organized library of raw footage, edited videos, photos, and approved content. Label files so the team can find material by project, service, date, or content type.
Communicate filming needs, deadlines, missing information, and schedule changes early. Coordinate with the team so content production does not unnecessarily interrupt customers, technicians, or active projects.
Review Results and Improve
Track which topics and formats generate meaningful attention, including views, watch time, shares, comments, profile visits, and inquiries when tracking is available.
Use those results to recommend improvements rather than repeating the same approach without evaluating it. Share useful audience questions with the Marketing Manager and turn them into future content.
On-Camera Expectations
We are looking for someone who is comfortable being a visible representative of Max Exteriors.
You should be able to speak clearly, start conversations, follow a simple outline, and deliver short explanations without sounding overly rehearsed. You should also be comfortable trying different openings, recording another take, and participating in lighthearted content when appropriate.
You do not need to be a professional actor or already have a large social media following. You do need to be willing to appear on camera consistently and represent both the roofing and PDR sides of the business with confidence.
This position is not a fit for someone who only wants to work behind the camera or create graphics without participating in videos.
Attitude and Professionalism
A good attitude matters just as much as creative ability.
We need someone who is friendly with customers, respectful toward every team member, dependable about commitments, and open to feedback. You should be able to accept revisions professionally, ask questions when something is unclear, and stay constructive when a shoot or schedule changes.
Taking initiative is important. We want someone who notices a useful story, suggests an idea, and follows through—not someone who needs to be reminded about every step.
Humor and personality are welcome. Content should never embarrass a customer, disrespect an employee, misrepresent our work, or damage trust in the company.
Required Qualifications
- Comfortable speaking and appearing on camera, including interviewing team members and introducing projects.
- Demonstrated ability to film and edit social media content, with examples of your work.
- Experience using video-editing software and basic design tools, such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Canva, or comparable programs.
- Strong communication, writing, organization, and time-management skills, along with a positive and coachable attitude.
- Ability to travel reliably to scheduled filming locations throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area and work comfortably in shop and outdoor job-site environments.
- Willingness to learn roofing and PDR terminology, follow brand guidelines, protect customer information, and meet agreed deadlines.
Helpful Experience
Experience creating content for local businesses, automotive companies, contractors, or other service businesses is a plus. Additional strengths may include photography, interviewing, social media account management, drone videography, and English/Spanish communication.
A strong portfolio and reliable work habits are more important than a large personal following.
Safety, Accuracy, and Customer Privacy
Follow all company and job-site safety instructions. Film from approved areas, stay clear of active work, and do not climb roofs, operate repair equipment, or enter restricted areas without authorization and appropriate training.
Obtain required permission before featuring customers, their property, or their vehicles. Keep personal information, claim documents, and other confidential details out of published content.
Confirm technical explanations with the appropriate roofing or PDR team member. Do not independently promise pricing, repair eligibility, insurance coverage, completion dates, or special offers.
What Success Looks Like
Success means producing a steady flow of approved content that represents both roofing and PDR, not allowing one side of the business to disappear from the calendar.
We should see recognizable team members, stronger project storytelling, clear educational videos, organized footage, reliable turnaround times, and useful ideas brought forward without constant prompting.
Content volume and turnaround expectations will be established with the Marketing Manager based on the position’s agreed hours, project schedules, and business priorities. Performance will consider quality, consistency, professionalism, audience response, and contribution to inquiries, not views alone.
