Social Media Coordinator

SocialSoule is a boutique social media marketing agency helping brands grow through strategic content, social media management, and digital storytelling.

We’re looking for a reliable, proactive, and highly organized Social Media Coordinator who loves social media and short-form content.

This role supports real client accounts, shoots, and deadlines, so we need someone who can follow through, communicate clearly, stay organized, and complete assigned work without constant reminders.

What You’ll Do

• Research TikTok, Instagram, and short-form content trends
• Find trending audio, hooks, and creative ideas
• Assist with content planning and scheduling
• Edit short-form videos in CapCut
• Create branded graphics in Canva
• Organize client files, footage, and content assets
• Track assignments and deadlines
• Proactively communicate questions, issues, or delays
• Assist with and occasionally independently support client content shoots
• Follow shot lists and make sure required content is captured
• Provide on-camera support when needed

Schedule & Availability

You must be located in the Kansas City metro area and have consistent weekday daytime availability, particularly between approximately 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM for client shoots.

Most shoots are scheduled in advance and typically last 2–3 hours. Team members assigned to a shoot are expected to be available for the full scheduled time.

Occasional weekend availability may be requested.

Skills & Tools

Required:

• Experience editing short-form content in CapCut
• Experience using Canva
• Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram content
• Proficiency with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Google Workspace
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Reliable transportation within the Kansas City metro
• Comfortable on camera

Preferred:

• 1+ year of content creation experience
• Social media marketing experience
• Experience assisting with content shoots or production

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 10.0 per week
