Job Summary:
The Social Media Strategist is responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving The Church Without Walls’ social media presence in alignment with the church’s mission, vision, values, and communications strategy.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, creative communicator, and digitally fluent storyteller who understands how to translate the message and mission of a multi-campus church into compelling content across social platforms. This individual should have a strong understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, content strategy, short-form video, community engagement, and digital analytics while maintaining the theological integrity, voice, and spirit of The Church Without Walls.
The Social Media Strategist will work closely with the communications, media, pastoral leadership, campus leaders, and ministry teams to ensure that TCWW's digital presence consistently informs, inspires, invites, and engages both the church family and the broader community.
Essential Job Functions:
Strategic Social Media Management Plan
- Develop and execute platform-specific strategies that are measurable, ministry-centered, and support TCWW's overall communications and ministry objectives.
- Manage the church's social media presence across appropriate platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, Tik-Tok, and emerging platforms.
- Establish content priorities and campaigns that support worship services, preaching and teaching, ministry programming, special events, community outreach, discipleship, evangelism, and church-wide initiatives.
- Monitor social media trends, platform updates, audience behavior, and emerging digital opportunities to keep TCWW's strategy relevant and effective.
- Develop strategies that reach both current members and individuals who may be unfamiliar with TCWW or seeking a church community.
- Maintain consistency in TCWW's digital voice, visual identity, messaging, and ministry standards.
Content Creation and Management
- Develop, write, curate, schedule, publish, and manage compelling social media content that reflects the mission and personality of TCWW.
- Transform sermons, Bible studies, worship experiences, ministry activities, testimonies, events, announcements, and church initiatives into engaging digital content.
· Help ensure consistent communication across TCWW's campuses while allowing appropriate opportunities to highlight individual campus communities.
- Collaborate with photographers, videographers, graphic designers, ministry leaders, and volunteers to obtain and develop high-quality visual content.
- Build and maintain an editorial/content calendar that coordinates church-wide campaigns, ministry communications, events, holidays, sermon series, and recurring content.
- Help tell the stories of how God is working through TCWW's members, ministries, campuses, and community.
