Social Media Executive

About the role

We are seeking a talented and creative Social Media Executive to join MECADO TRADING PTE LTD. This is a full-time position based in the Downtown Core Central Region. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing compelling social media strategies that enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, and drive business growth. As a Social Media Executive, you will play a crucial part in building and nurturing our digital community across multiple platforms, directly contributing to our marketing objectives and overall business success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and execute comprehensive social media strategies across all relevant platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Twitter
• Create, curate and publish engaging content including posts, videos, infographics and stories that resonate with our target audience
• Manage and monitor social media accounts, responding to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Build and nurture online communities through consistent engagement, fostering meaningful interactions and brand loyalty
• Analyse social media performance metrics and provide regular reports on campaign effectiveness, audience growth and engagement rates
• Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, content and design to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment
• Stay up-to-date with social media trends, platform algorithm changes and emerging digital marketing opportunities
• Support the creation of paid social media advertising campaigns and optimise performance based on data insights
• Conduct competitive analysis and benchmark our social media performance against industry standards
• Assist in developing and implementing brand guidelines for social media presence

What we're looking for

• 2-4 years of experience working as a Social Media Executive, Social Media Manager or similar digital marketing role
• Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and their best practices, including content creation and community management
• Proven experience in developing and executing social media strategies that have driven measurable business results
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging and on-brand content
• Proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social or similar platforms
• Strong analytical skills with experience using social media analytics tools and interpreting data to inform strategy
• Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas and campaigns
• Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar is advantageous
• Familiarity with paid social advertising platforms and campaign management is preferred
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
