Social Media Executive

East Point Group of Institutions is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Executive to manage and grow our digital presence across social media platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of social media trends, content creation, audience engagement, and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the institutions social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Plan and execute monthly and weekly social media content calendars.
• Create engaging content including posts, reels, stories, videos, and captions.
• Coordinate with academic departments and internal teams to gather content, updates, events, and achievements.
• Cover campus events, student activities, workshops, seminars, celebrations, and institutional initiatives for social media.
• Stay updated with current social media trends, formats, hashtags, and audience preferences.
• Monitor social media engagement, reach, followers, and other key performance metrics.
• Prepare regular social media performance reports and provide insights for improvement.
• Respond to comments, messages, and enquiries professionally and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and marketing teams to develop relevant content.
• Ensure all content is aligned with the institutions brand guidelines and communication standards.
• Support social media campaigns and promotional activities for admissions, events, and institutional initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Any Graduate / Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Media, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
• Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
• Good content writing and copywriting skills.
• Basic knowledge of Canva or other graphic/content creation tools.
• Good understanding of reels, short-form videos, trends, hashtags, and social media algorithms.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative mindset with good attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within deadlines.
• Experience in the education sector is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Basic photography and videography skills.
• Experience in creating and editing Reels/Shorts.
• Knowledge of Meta Business Suite and social media analytics.
• Basic understanding of digital marketing and paid social media campaigns.
