Lancashire Solutions is a British business consultancy and technology company, and we’re looking for several Social Media Executive Interns to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on internship for people who want to build practical experience in social media, particularly LinkedIn content creation, while working with a UK-based company.

We are actively growing our team and expect to recruit for permanent positions as the business develops. This internship gives you the opportunity to demonstrate what you can do, build your experience and potentially put yourself in a strong position for future paid opportunities with us.

Please note: this is an unpaid internship. There is no guarantee of a permanent role at the end of the internship, but strong performers may be considered for future vacancies.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work as part of our wider social media and content community, helping us create useful, educational and engaging content about the areas in which Lancashire Solutions operates.

Your work will primarily focus on LinkedIn.

You may be involved in:

  • researching interesting topics relevant to our audience;
  • creating educational and informative LinkedIn posts;
  • turning articles, reports, news and technical subjects into accessible social content;
  • helping develop content ideas and recurring themes;
  • supporting company campaigns and announcements;
  • engaging appropriately with relevant LinkedIn communities;
  • reviewing how posts perform and learning what works;
  • working with other members of our content, SEO and design teams; and
  • using AI tools to help research, draft, improve and repurpose content efficiently.

AI is part of how we work

We don’t expect you to spend hours doing something that AI can help you complete much faster.

You should therefore be comfortable and willing to use AI tools as part of your workflow, particularly for research, brainstorming, drafting, rewriting and developing LinkedIn content.

However, we’re still looking for your judgement.

AI can help produce content, but you’ll need to understand whether something is accurate, relevant, useful and appropriate for the audience before it gets published.

What we’re looking for

You do not need years of professional social media experience.

We’re more interested in people who are curious, dependable, willing to learn and capable of communicating clearly.

You should:

  • have an active LinkedIn profile;
  • be comfortable creating content for LinkedIn;
  • have good written English;
  • be willing to learn how businesses communicate with professional audiences;
  • be comfortable researching unfamiliar subjects;
  • be willing to use AI tools as part of your work;
  • be able to work independently in a fully remote environment;
  • take feedback positively and improve your work; and
  • be available to start relatively quickly.

Experience in social media, copywriting, marketing, content creation or communications is useful, but not essential.

What you’ll get from the internship

This is intended to be a practical learning opportunity rather than an internship where you simply observe someone else working.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • create real content published by a British company;
  • build examples of professional work for your portfolio;
  • improve your LinkedIn and social media skills;
  • learn how AI can be incorporated into professional content workflows;
  • work alongside people involved in SEO, design, marketing and business development;
  • receive feedback on your work; and
  • develop experience that you can speak about in future interviews.

The standard internship period is 3 months, although we’re happy to discuss a different duration depending on your availability.

We’re looking for people who can start immediately or very soon.

We are recruiting for multiple Social Media Executive Intern positions, so if this sounds like something you could do well, we’d be happy to hear from you.
